Into the Forest: A Poetry Workshop

We can never see the whole forest at one time, but the shifting light, the wild creatures, the intriguing paths, some barely visible among the foliage, lead us in, keep us wanting to go deeper into the heart of the woods.

This 3 hour poetry workshop is for people at any stage of their writing journey. Discovery and play will be our methods for exploration. Topics will include: the writing process, a new method for drafting poems, how to find subjects, and some core tools of current poetry. You will leave with a new poem draft as well as simple procedures you can use to begin, continue, and enrich your own poetry practice.
