Into the Sea: Taking Your Poetry Deeper

This course is being taught for Seniors College in 2011 under the name "Writing Poetry: Introduction to Invention & Craft". The Start date is October 2nd.

This course is for people who write poems. Whether you are a bold or a shy poet, a published or an unpublished poet, you are welcome. This course offers you: a supportive, positive approach to writing; exercises to stimulate mind, heart, and senses; poetry study to deepen craft; ways to find rich material; new methods of revising poems; practice with the nitty-gritty bits of how poems work; a different approach to feedback; surprises.

Registration is through Seniors College on September 10. Minimum age to join Seniors College is 50 years old. Classes will be Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 4 pm for 8 weeks at UPEI in Charlottetown.

Membership in Seniors College is $135, which entitles members to unlimited courses over 3 semesters.
