Night Vanishes

The late Joe Sherman wrote of Night Vanishes, "[it] has the elegance and inwardness of Japanese Haiku, and yet it is full of an intense and personal music". Influenced by haiku, Basho, and the relationship between inner journeys and outer realities, this 13 page chapbook of 11 poems forms a spirtual narrative. Janzen arranged the poems carefully to form a gentle symmetry around the longest poem. There are only 100 numbered and signed copies of each chapbook in the Saturday Morning Chapbook series. Night Vanishes is #2 in the Second Series; the other 2 chapbooks in the Second Series are Fool's Errand by Zach Wells and Scars by Laurie Brinklow.
